Dr. Barrie Soloway is a board-certified ophthalmologist and serves as the Medical Director for Refocus Group. Dr. Soloway is also on the team at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary as the Director and Principal Investigator for Research at their Vision Correction Center
Dr. Soloway earned his Medical Degree at Pennsylvania State University and holds a BA from New York University. He trained in medicine at Long Island College Hospital and ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he also completed a fellowship in the surgical repair of ocular trauma. Dr. Soloway has been an innovator in refractive surgery for over three decades and is dedicated to vision correction research and education. He has worked with companies such as Alcon to develop new technologies and he frequently speaks at ophthalmology conferences in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Soloway has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and has authored textbook chapters on vision correction. Additionally, he is an editor for the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
